Modelama we practice a culture of peaceful coexistence with nature and believe that we

We are equipped with rain-water harvesting systems as well as numerous energy saving mechanisms which include:

  • Solar Panels

    Installation of solar panels of 148.48 KW capacity in our core factories. Modelama has solar plants of 2Mw installed in factories and offices. We also have 6.25 Mw wind mills in the state of Maharastra India.

Diesel Driven Vehicles have been changed to CNG driven vehicles

Awareness

As part of its efforts to nurture individuality, and for making sustainability more visible and actionable,the company conducts drawing and offers entertaining and educative competitions on save environment amongst the children of employees the sole purpose behind this meaningful and interesting activity was to make the children aware about how they can save the environment, and spread awareness about it in the communities.

Community Work

In Modelama Exports, we believe that professional work can also be a life-giving reflection of our responsibilities and values for the society we are a part of.

From making donations to Nepal Earthquake Relief to installing Drinking Water Coolers for students in schools, we are passionately committed to making changes through meaningful community work. We consider it our responsibility to serve the society we operate our business in, and give something back to create a better world around us.

Health & Well Being

“Strong outside and strong inside” is a motto we follow. We take health and general well-being of all our employees very seriously and frequently arrange medical camps for them. We also regularly arrange seminars on AIDS awareness, health hazards, safety, etc. We have standby ambulance service available in case of any emergencies.

An awareness program called Her Health was conducted by our CSR partner Swasti from September 2016 to January 2018. The sessions were attended by over 24000 persons.

Steps to sustain the program include

  • Outreach sessions are being conducted every month by the PHEs
  • The key messages have been included in the Orientation Sessions as well
  • Health Check-up camps are being organized as part of the project

Women Empowerment

Women empowerment programs are regularly conducted in Modelama. The main objective of these programs is to make our female employees aware about POSH Act, prevention, reporting & self-defence.

A breast cancer awareness & screening program was conducted in Modelama during August2018–December 2018 by the medical team of Apollo Hospital.

7 female employees were diagnosed with breast cancer.1 underwent surgery & is doing fine, rest are under treatment & now happily working.

Skill Development and Training

Considering employees as its biggest asset, the company conducted special training sessions for its Supervisory Staff aiming to increase their time management skills, and also to improve their behavioral skills on the working floor.
